The cooking and prices make this a good neighbourhood restaurant. A fish stew arrived in a large earthware bowl that contained a teaming and ery broth brimming with bean sprouts, green beans, tofu, onions and chunks of fresh cod.
Potato pancakes were literally that—breakfast-style pancakes of shredded potato, golden and crisp, accompanied by a savoury sauce of bean paste, ginger, garlic and sesame. A seafood pancake was food-gulper's delight—about a foot in diameter, pockmarked with slivered cuttlefish, shrimp and green onions.
