The Indian cuisine here falls admirably into the category of an above-average curry joint. Several of the dishes and their phonetic renderings in English indicate a strong Bengali presence. And prices, given the freshness and quality of ingredients, are extremely reasonable. Try shorshe bata shrimp—six large, juicy shrimp in a thick, onion-rich curry flavoured with black mustard seeds, ginger and a.trace of green chilies.

At time of reviewing, vegetarian dishes like bhindi bhaji and cauliflower bhaji suffered from the use of too much turmeric in the spicing. But the okra and cauliflower were fresh, not cooked to mush as they often are in other Indian restaurants. Flatbreads are good here, although the nans were a tad sweet.
