Mongolie Grill
1180 Wolfe Beaudry métro

Tel. 526-0605. Monday to Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. $2/100 grams (noon), $2.50/100 grams (evening). $20 for two before beer, taxes and service.
Impossible to say what's on the menu—there isn't one. Mongolie Grill's system is disarmingly simple: a well stocked buffet and a chef at the other end ready to whip up your composition. Marinated meats, seafood, fresh vegetables, nuts, sprouts, tofu, dried or fresh mushrooms, a variety of delicious sauces—it's your call. The whole thing gets weighed (you guessed it, you're charged by the gram), and heated up in a cast-iron pan on a gas stove. Kids love it. Soup entrées, jasmine rice and rice crêpes with the meaI. Vegetarians get a twenty percent discount. Right across the road from RadioCanada and the CBC. The owners imported the concept from Vancouver and Whistler.
