A simple, cozy little restaurant that specializes in the cuisine of Afghanistan. The food is very good, generous and modestly priced. Entrees are $3.50 each. and main dishes are $7.95 to $10.95. This includes rice, Afghan bread, salad and Afghan chutneys.
All four entrees are worth trying and make a generous opening sally. A main dish of Kahuli palaw resembled a biryani with lamb shank cooked with spices and raisins. A sabzi chalaw, marinated and braised lamb shank, was glorious. Table d'hotes are $12.99 and $14.95. Lunch special is $9.95.
