It's a 3-D version of a bubblegum comic—toilet paper rolls stand in for napkins, a lateral thinker's Tex-Mex-Californian cryptic comic replaces the menu, and the décor is best described as another roadside distraction. Lili's punch (rum, pineapple, lemon, lime) arrives at your table in a beach bucket complete with plastic shovel! "Folle cuisine de plage" (crazy beach cooking) is the slogan. It looks like the unholy trinity (Acapulco gold, tequila and tropical sun) all conspired against the decorators.
Sample menu: Nachos, guacamole, cainarones (shrimp) cocktail, gazpacho, beef or chicken tacos, fajitas, California hamburger, chicken cactus salad.
