Couscous is the big specialty here, and they offer couscous with scallops, with shrimps, with veggies, with merguez, with lamb or with chicken, as well as their special couscous royal, a combination of the preceding list.

There's no need to reserve in advance for the tasty mechoui, and the cinnamon-scented haira soup is fine, as is the curiously icing sugar dusted, savoury pashra, made of chicken, onion, saffron, almond, and phyllo pastry. The chef is a Canadianized Moroccan, who has obviously not forgotten the native dishes of his country.

Summertime couscous aficionados will appreciate the second storey terrasse which, if a little basic, puts you at just the right height in the back garden to catch the summer evening breezes as they whisper through the leaves of the neighbourhood trees.
